Dear Lake Godstone Guest;

Thank you for your booking at Lake Godstone™. We greatly appreciate your stay and will strive to make your visit most enjoyable.

You can view a 3D walk-around of our 35-bed Lodge here. Cabin and Campground video walk-arounds and ranch maps are also available at our website.

Dom and Carol DeRosa are our resident Ranch Managers and they can be reached by phone or text at 940-275-0908. Upon entering the gate, follow the signs to your lodge, cabin or campground destination.

The wifi is free and does not require a password. Cell service is spotty but best in high areas of the property and we suggest you set up wifi calling on your cell service before your arrival.

Our Lodge televisions in the den, porch and classroom are ROKU TV's equipped with Fubo for sports, news and kids programs. There are TV’s in the four bedrooms and upstairs dorms that have HDMI connections for guest-provided streaming devices. All other cabins except the Serenity RV also have ROKU TV’s with FUBO. Contact our Hosts for assistance connecting your devices to our “Private” wifi network. The Password to the Private network is BellaVita4636. Please click here to learn about remote control use.

Firewood is $100.00 per fifty sticks and fishing is $10.00 per stay per person. Children under 12 are free. Firewood can be purchased by contacting our ranch hosts. They can also take payments for fishing and watercraft rentals.

A reminder that we do not allow loud parties and please be mindful and courteous of our other guests on the property and eliminate any noise after 10 pm. The lodge, its dock, water slide, fire pit etc and surrounding lodge trails are private use by Lodge Guests only. The sports fields are available at no charge, first come first serve to all guests as are the elevated wildlife stands. The Gun Range is closed and no firearms use or hunting is permitted. The partially covered docks around the lake have a swim ladder and watercraft (non motorized only) mooring. No diving please (its dangerous) and remember there are no lifeguards. Life jackets are available at our office by contacting our hosts at 940-275-0908.

Tranquil Trail is our hike and bike trail (no motorized ATV’s or motor-bikes permitted on the property) starts and ends at the ranch gate entrance and the four mile route is marked and can be joined at numerous places around the 188 acre ranch retreat. Remember that summer is chigger season so we recommend you spray your footwear, socks and lower legs with insect repellent when hiking in the grass. Don't forget to bring your bikes to use on our trails and fishing equipment and bait if you like to fish. We do stock bait for sale at our office.

You will also need to bring your own paper goods, including paper towels. trash bags, and beach towels if you plan on swimming . If you would like to recycle, please bring your own recycle bags and take them home with you. Leftover food can be recycled by tossing it into the lake off the docks.

A ranch Map can be found at www.LakeGodstone.com then look in the upper menu for RANCH MAP.

Remember 15 Mph is the trail speed limit and auto and truck traffic is permitted (on our six miles of gravel) trails only. Watch for warning signs prohibiting auto traffic and please be careful.

All trash is to be bagged by guests and left in the dumpster at the entrance gate of the ranch. Please bring your own trash bags. We do not have trash barrels because they quickly become raccoon (and other varmits) restaurants. Don't forget charcoal, matches and lighting fluid for the fire pit and grills. We do have limited quantities available at our office.

Please remember that our lake and ponds feature channel catfish, redear, bluegill, crappie and large mouth bass. We are working to preserve the largest of our bass and would appreciate that "catch and release" is practiced for all fish except catfish, bluegill and crappie. You are welcome to catch and eat catfish, bluegill and crappie but please do not take catch home with you. Please also do not throw entrails into our trash. The best place to throw the remains is in the lake. A fishing license is not required (but recommended) as Lake Godstone™ is a private lake.

There are two large lily pads on the lake and smaller ones at the small docks. The one near the lodge belongs to lodge guests only. Please do not attempt to relocate these lily pads as they are anchored in a particular way.

There is a bluetooth sound system on the Lodge, Guest Home and Inspiration Cabin porch with two speakers and the main control is inside the porch kitchen door in the cupboard next to the door at the lodge and Inspiration Cabin and inside the den in the guest home. Please use your cell phone to control the volume and note that the signal will not pass through the steel walls so you will need to leave your cell phone inside.

The steps to the water slide at the lodge are removable (lift up and off) in case you wish to close down access.

Finally, we have a six-person gas UTV, four person electric UTV, golf cart (and pontoon boat with trolling motor for lodge guests), kayaks, pedal boats, a canoe and a row boat available for rent. Lodge guests are provided with two kayaks and a canoe. Let us know if you are interested in exploring our forested lake and wooded meadow on our six miles of trails. You can also book (subject to availability) our rentals at our camp office/store along with oars, life jackets, sports field balls, horseshoes etc.

Remember that we are a no-smoking facility.

Please alert our ranch hosts with your approximate arrival time to Carol or Dom DeRosa by text at 940-275-0908 so that they may be prepared to assist you with checkin and door entrance codes if applicable. They can also assist with any last minute add-ons of firewood ($100.00 for 50 sticks), our UTV's, golf cart, pedal boats, row boat, canoe or kayak as well by use of your credit or debit card. Lodge guests are automatically provided with two kayaks and a canoe and lodge guests can also book the 8-person Pontoon Boat with trolling motor at additional cost.

Groceries can be purchased in Graham (NW 25 miles) at Wal-Mart, or in Jacksboro (25 miles North) at Lowes, or in Graford (11 smiles South) at the Dollar Store. If you are traveling from DFW metroplex we like Brookshire's in Bridgeport.

Mexican Food is best in Jacksboro at Casa Grande. Chinese (takeout only) at China Garden in Jacksboro is also good. People drive for long distances to eat at Herd’s Hamburgers in Jacksboro. The Cafe in Graford is also a good place for a great meal. Mineral Wells and Graham also offer many restaurant options but our favorite is the Mesquite Pit in Mineral Wells for the best steaks in town. Graford also has a Dollar Store and gas station with groceries, camping and fishing supplies.

Bring your mountain (non-motorized) and enjoy our four miles of Hike and Bike Trails. ...and if you like Wildlife, bring your camera for daytime photography and your green light flashlight for night time viewing.

Those coyotes that you most likely hear at sunset or sunrise are not on our property. Noise travels well in our valley and they sound close, but coyotes avoid people so not to worry.

Here are your driving and check in instructions for your upcoming booking.

From Jacksboro go west 1-2 miles on hwy 380 to hwy 4 then south 15 miles to Halsell Road then west (right) on a windy, hilly gravel road for 4 miles (drive slowly dangerous turns) to Lake Godstone on your right. If we do have bad weather we have designated our Guest Home "Garage" as a tornado shelter for our camping guests and it will be opened up during such events should they occur. For those staying in the lodge or any of our cabins that have restrooms, these facilities are built from steel and concrete and are effectively a storm shelter. Please use the bathrooms for a shelter area inside.

Follow us on our Facebook page at and get interesting updates at www.facebook.com/LakeGodstone.

Our new campground office has a few items available for sale for those who have forgotten things like ice, charcoal briquets, soda, minnows, worms, pain medications, bug spray, matches, first aid kit, sunscreen, s'mores stuff, cokes and flashlights.

There are many local places of interest within 30-60 miles of Lake Godstone™ and we recommend a visit to Mineral Wells as well as Possum Kingdom Lake, Graham and Jacksboro and Weatherford.

Learn how to use the remote control for your cabin heating and air conditioning system by watching this 30 second video.

See the short video to learn how to use your Roku TV remote to access Fubo sports, news and kids television programs.

The stove exhaust fan above the lodge stove has a variable speed knob that works in reverse (unfortunately). Please turn it on full when using the stove top. It does a very good job of exhausting into the exterior of the lodge.

All of our lodge, cabins and our guest home have keyless entry locks and a door code is provided to guests by email prior to checkin. Click here to watch video instructions.
