From Jacksboro go west 1-2 miles on hwy 380 to hwy 4 then south 14 miles to Halsell Road then west (right) on a windy, hilly gravel road for 4 miles to Lake Godstone™ on your right.

Great time together
Dom and Carol were welcoming, helpful, and kind. Space was excellent. Great opportunity to have our family together under one roof. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a gathering. Kids loved the fishing. Safety considerations were well thought out even for small children. Outstanding location and we had a great time together.

Love to Return
We absolutely enjoyed your beautiful lodge. The space was more than ample with plenty of beds and space for all 33 of us. We especially loved the convenience of the docks for fishing, the amount of fish we caught was awesome! The lake's perfect size made swimming, canoeing and kayaking a delight. The slide was a fantastic addition for the more adventurous kids! The nature walks were beautiful. We also appreciated the thoughtful touches like the two Blackstone grills, the stock room in the main area was genius, the separate men's and women's restrooms downstairs, the outhouse showers by the slide and the washers and dryers were a lifesaver for us all. We even made s'mores in the fire pit! Carol was easy to contact and was there at a moments notice! We would absolutely love to return in the future. Thank you again for everything. July 2025

Best Family Vacation Yet
We visited the Lodge at Lake Godstone for our family vacation. We are a large family. There are 22 of us and this place was perfect. The amenities are great and the service is even better. They went out of their way to accommodate us. We greatly appreciate the hospitality of the groundskeepers, Dom and Carol. There is plenty to do for adults and children. We all enjoyed fishing, boating, swimming and just lounging around. The ranch is beautiful and peaceful. We all enjoyed a long weekend of unplugging and enjoying nature. This was our best family vacation yet. We will definitely be back. June 2025
100 Stars for Peace
The lodge was perfect for our needs for 30 people! But we spent most of the time outdoors, enjoying the water, the wildlife and fire pit! There are two black stone grills that we used every meal! The classroom at the end of the lodge was perfect for our Sunday meeting time! But most of all it was the peace that this pastoral setting afforded that cannot be rated. 100 stars for peace!
Absolutely amazing!
Our stay Lake Godstone was absolutely amazing. We had a group of about 30 and treated like royalty. Dom and Carol are so helpful and appeared to really enjoy getting to know us and give us anything we needed. We were able to relax and really enjoy the pace and quiet. Fishing, kayaks, canoes, paddle boats and the water slide was so much fun. The lodge and cabins are fully stocked with everything we needed and we loved the personal touches. It felt like home away from home. Thank you Jim, Dom, and Carol! You truly have a heart of gold!!
